Executive Coaching for Women in Transition

I create practice spaces where accomplished women design the next chapter of their work and life—with clarity, confidence, and without compromising who they are.

People meeting at wooden table

You've achieved what you set out to accomplish. You've proven yourself, climbed the ladder, delivered results.

But now you're standing at a threshold, and the path forward isn't as clear as it used to be.

Maybe you've been offered a promotion that would mean more influence but less time for the life you want to build.

Maybe you're preparing for motherhood and wondering how to integrate this identity with the leader you've become.

Maybe you're realizing that the career you worked so hard for doesn't align with who you are now—and you're ready to pivot but don't know where to start.

The same strategies that got you here won't get you where you want to go. The "push harder, prove more, optimize everything" approach that served your twenties and early thirties starts feeling unsustainable when you're designing a life that actually fits who you're becoming.

And the hardest part?

There's no roadmap for this transition. No one teaches high-achieving women how to reimagine success on their own terms while navigating the very real constraints of organizational expectations, financial realities, and the expectations—spoken and unspoken—that surround us.

Here's what you're really facing.

The unique challenges women in transition face:

  • You've built your identity around being capable, decisive, and always having the answer. But now you're in liminal space—between who you were and who you're becoming. The uncertainty feels foreign and uncomfortable, and you worry that pausing to figure things out will be interpreted as weakness or lack of ambition.

  • You've been told to lean in, speak up, be more assertive. You've done all of that. But now you're exhausted from constantly adapting to systems that weren't designed with you in mind. You don't need more advice on how to fit in—you need space to design what success actually looks like for you.

  • If you're preparing for or navigating early motherhood, you're facing a transition that rewrites everything. The professional identity you've carefully built suddenly feels at odds with the biological and emotional reality of caring for a tiny human. And despite all the talk about work-life balance, very few organizations actually support the integration required.

  • You're used to earning permission through performance. But this transition requires giving yourself permission to want something different—to prioritize differently, to redefine success, to let go of paths that no longer serve you. That kind of permission can't be earned. It has to be claimed.

  • The higher you climb, the fewer people you can talk to openly. Your team looks to you for answers. Your leadership peers are navigating their own challenges. Your partner or friends may not fully understand the complexity of your professional world. You need someone who gets both the business realities and the human complexity of what you're navigating.

"Elisabeth doesn't just identify problems—she creates safe spaces where people can practice new ways of relating to each other. The transformation has been both immediate and lasting."

Executive Coaching for women in Transition

When you're ready to design the next chapter on your own terms.

My coaching isn't about fixing what's wrong with you or teaching you to better navigate systems that don't fit. Instead, we create a structured practice space where you can:

  • Get clear on what actually gives you energy and purpose (not what you think should motivate you)

  • Design a vision for your work and life that integrates all of who you are (not just the professional version)

  • Build the habits, mindsets, and boundaries that make that vision sustainable

  • Practice the conversations and decisions required to bring your vision to life

  • Create a support system that keeps you on track after our work together ends

This is a 6-month intensive coaching engagement

designed specifically for women at critical transition points—whether you're navigating a new leadership role, preparing for motherhood, considering a career pivot, or realigning your life with your evolving values and priorities.

the 6 month journey

What you can expect:

Month 1: Clarity - Understanding What Gives You Life

Birkman Assessment & Vision Foundation

We begin with the Birkman Assessment—a comprehensive tool that reveals your core motivational drivers, natural strengths, stress behaviors, and what environments allow you to thrive. This isn't about labeling you; it's about understanding the underlying patterns that either fuel or drain your energy.

Through our two coaching sessions this month, we explore:

  • What truly gives you joy, energy, and purpose (beyond external validation)

  • Where your current life and work align or conflict with your core drivers

  • The implicit expectations and "shoulds" that may be guiding your choices

  • A preliminary vision for what you want your next chapter to become

You'll leave Month 1 with: Deep self-knowledge and the beginnings of a vision that feels both inspiring and authentically yours.

Months 2-5: Design & Practice - Building Your New Reality

Co-Creating Your Roadmap & Practicing New Patterns

This is where transformation happens. Together, we develop a personalized roadmap that addresses your specific transition challenges, then you practice the habits, mindsets, behaviors, and conversations that bring your vision to life.

What we work on depends on your unique situation:

If you're navigating a promotion or new role:
  • Designing your leadership approach for this level (not just doing more of what got you here)

  • Setting boundaries that protect your energy while meeting new demands

  • Building the support systems and delegation practices that prevent burnout

Having the strategic conversations that establish your vision and priorities

If you're preparing for or integrating motherhood:
  • Reimagining what success looks like across both identities

  • Negotiating realistic expectations with your organization, partner, and yourself

  • Building sustainable rhythms that honor both professional excellence and caregiving

  • Navigating the emotional complexity of identity integration

If you're considering a career pivot or realignment:
  • Testing and refining your vision through small experiments

  • Building the financial runway and professional positioning for your transition

  • Practicing the conversations required to create new opportunities

  • Managing the psychological discomfort of uncertainty and change

Throughout these months, you'll:

  • Meet bi-weekly for focused coaching sessions

  • Practice new approaches between sessions with real-world application

  • Receive support as you navigate the inevitable challenges and setbacks

  • Build confidence through repeated practice in a psychologically safe space

You'll leave Months 2-5 with: Tangible progress toward your vision, new habits that are becoming automatic, and evidence that sustainable change is possible.

Month 6: Sustainability - Creating Your Long-Term Support System

Building Your Post-Coaching Infrastructure

The goal of our work together isn't to make you dependent on a coach—it's to help you develop the internal and external resources to sustain your transformation long-term.

In our final month, we:

  • Review your progress and celebrate your wins (this matters more than you think)

  • Identify the patterns and practices that have been most transformative

  • Build your sustainability plan: how you'll maintain momentum without a coach

  • Anticipate future challenges and develop strategies for navigating them

  • Create your support ecosystem: who and what will help you stay on track

  • Close our coaching relationship in a way that honors the work we've done together

You'll leave Month 6 with: Confidence that you can continue evolving without me, a clear plan for staying on track, and the tools to navigate future transitions with greater ease.
what you can expect

from our time together:

  • I bring 15+ years of operational experience at companies like Google, Amazon, and Sony PlayStation, plus dual master's degrees in Organizational Development and Counseling Psychology. I understand both the business realities you're navigating and the psychological complexity of identity transitions.

  • We follow a clear 6-month arc, but the specific content adapts to your unique situation and what emerges as most important for you. This isn't a one-size-fits-all program.

  • We don't just discuss your challenges—we practice new approaches. You'll rehearse difficult conversations, experiment with new boundaries, and build new habits with real-time support and feedback.

  • I create space where you can be honest about your struggles, fears, and uncertainties without judgment. And I'll also challenge you when you're playing small or letting old patterns run the show.

  •  I work with only a select number of coaching clients at a time. This ensures you receive the deep attention, customized support, and psychological presence this transformational work requires.

Is this coaching right for you?

This coaching is ideal if you:

  • Are an accomplished woman at a significant life or career transition point

  • Have achieved external success but feel misalignment with your current path

  • Want to design your next chapter intentionally rather than reactively

  • Are willing to look honestly at patterns that aren't serving you

  • Can commit to 6 months of bi-weekly sessions and between-session practice

  • Value deep transformation over quick fixes

This coaching may not be right if you:

  • Need crisis intervention or clinical therapy (I can provide referrals)

  • Want someone to tell you what to do rather than help you discover your own answers

  • Aren't willing to examine how your current choices contribute to your situation

  • Can't commit to the 6-month timeframe and regular session attendance

  • Are looking primarily for tactical career advice or networking connections

Client stories:

  • "I came to Elisabeth thinking I needed help managing my team better. What I actually needed was permission to redesign my entire approach to leadership and life. She helped me see patterns I'd been running for decades and gave me the space to practice something completely different. Six months later, I'm in a role I love, setting boundaries I never thought possible, and actually enjoying the work again."

    Senior Director, Technology Company

  • "Preparing for motherhood while leading a major product launch felt impossible. Elisabeth didn't give me platitudes about balance—she helped me design realistic integration strategies and practice the conversations I needed to have with my leadership and my partner. I went into maternity leave with clarity and confidence I didn't know was possible."

FAQ:

  • If you're asking this question, you're likely in more transition than you realize. Common signs: feeling restless or misaligned despite external success, questioning decisions you previously felt certain about, sensing that your current path won't work long-term, or facing a life change (promotion, motherhood, relocation) that's stirring up deeper questions about what you want.

  • All coaching is conducted virtually via secure video conferencing, which allows for flexibility and eliminates travel time. Many clients find that the private, comfortable setting of virtual coaching actually creates more psychological safety for difficult conversations.

  • Life happens. We can discuss adjustments as needed. That said, the 6-month container is designed intentionally—it's long enough for real transformation but focused enough to maintain momentum. Extensions are possible but generally aren't necessary when clients fully engage with the process.

  • Coaching is future-focused and action-oriented, centered on helping you design and move toward your desired outcomes. Therapy typically focuses on healing past wounds and addressing clinical mental health concerns. I'm trained in both psychology and organizational development, which means I understand the intersection—and can provide therapy referrals when appropriate.

  • Expect 1-2 hours per week for between-session work: practicing new approaches, reflecting on what you're learning, preparing for upcoming conversations, or completing exercises we've designed together. The transformation happens in the practice, not just in our sessions.

  • Yes, payment plans are available to make this investment more manageable. We can discuss options during your consultation call.
